Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use the Gulf Bridging website, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
How we have built this website
Navigation
- A "Skip to main content" link at the top of every page lets keyboard and screen reader users go straight to the content.
- Every page, menu, button, form, FAQ answer and pop-up can be used with a keyboard, with a visible outline showing where you are.
- Navigation is the same on every page, and breadcrumbs show where you are on the site.
- Every page has a clear, unique title.
Reading the content
- Pages use clear headings in a logical order, and plain English.
- The page language is set to UK English, so screen readers pronounce words correctly.
- Images have text descriptions for screen readers.
- Tables have proper column and row headings.
- Text and backgrounds use strong colour contrast.
Forms and calculators
- Every form field has a clear label, and related questions are grouped together.
- Your browser can fill in your name, email, phone number and postcode for you.
- If something is missing, the form highlights the field and explains the problem in text, not by colour alone. Screen readers announce the message.
- Calculator results are announced by screen readers as you change the figures.
- There are no time limits on any form.
Devices and settings
- The website works on phones, tablets and desktops.
- You can zoom in up to 200% without content being cut off.
- If you have turned on "reduce motion" on your device, the website keeps animation to a minimum.
